How the list works.
The signup form is for emails from C. Shane Rivers about The Focused Agent and its companion materials. The toolkit download is separate. You don’t have to join the list to get it.
What the form saves
Your email address, the signup time, the wording version of the consent you gave, your subscription status, and a random unsubscribe token. Your address is trimmed and stored in lowercase so repeat signups don’t create extra entries.
The list records checkbox consent, not proof that you own the address. No confirmation message is sent by this website, and no email-sending service is connected yet. Please use your own address.
Where it goes
Records are stored in Supabase. The website runs on Shane’s server, managed with RunCloud, with Cloudflare in front of it. The hosting providers may keep service and security logs under their own policies. Only the configured list owner can use this website’s export and list-management functions.
The signup form uses short-lived, keyed network-address hashes and a hidden field to reduce automated abuse. The application does not save your raw IP address in the mailing list. No advertising pixels or analytics trackers have been added to this page.
Leaving or removing your record
Use the unsubscribe link in a future update, or email [email protected] from the address concerned. An unsubscribed address stays on a suppression list so another form submission cannot quietly add it back. Ask Shane if you want to rejoin.
You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your list record at that address. A deletion request should also be applied to any earlier exports and future mailing-provider copies. Provider backups may follow a separate retention schedule.
Owner access and cookies
Readers do not need an account to use the page or request updates. The private owner area uses Supabase authentication and a necessary, short-lived sign-in cookie. The public signup form does not set a tracking cookie.
This notice covers the book signup application, not the providers’ separate services. It will be reviewed when an email-sending service is added.
